If your vacation is about getting away, come to Boulder to find the most beautiful time away from the crowds. From stunning hikes and nature walks, to yoga on paddle boards, Boulder is here to take you out of your everyday and put you on a planet far away.

1. ROYAL ARCH

If you feel like having a workout and a view for your get-away trip, than one of the beautiful Chautauqua hikes could be just the thing. Personally, Royal Arch Trail is my favorite. A beautiful hike, it stays pretty people-free in the morning, or on weekdays, and it’s a short 3.5 mile round trip. But be careful, it is a fairly difficult hike, and if you’re from a lower altitude prepare to take longer than you might otherwise—you gain around 1400’ in elevation during the hike!

2. FLAGSTAFF

If you want the beauty without the workout, Flagstaff is a great choice. A road you can drive your family up, it can be particularly nice if you have kids, older relatives with you, or not a lot of time. But if you want to drive up yourself, it’s just as beautiful! There are many places you can stop and take in the view, but at the top there are a few easy trails and picnic locations. There is even a restaurant on your way up—perfect for a romanic date. There is also a small outdoor theater, occasionally holding concerts and performances, and even weddings: truly a beautiful stage.

3. BOULDER RESERVOIR

Great for a stunning morning adventure, the Boulder Reservoir is a relaxing drive, with a beautiful view. I say morning as this is an article for those of us who don’t always wanna be where the people are. But if you’re in a more social mood there is paddle boarding and beach-time activities during a warm weekend. People can even be seen performing yoga on the boards, so if you want to center yourself while tanning, this could be for you. 5565 N 51st St. | 303.441.2461

Whatever your destination this vacation, let Boulder help you relax, spend time with nature, and rediscover yourself away from the craziness of everyday life.
